Pave

Overview

I have worked with Pave for years as a Designer & Developer. Pave is an agency that provides their clients with designers, developers, marketing solutions, and more. During my time I worked with clients, as well as Pave themselves. This project focuses specifically on their website development.

My Role

I wear many hats at Pave, for this project specifically I was tasked with developing their website in Webflow. A no-code solution for website hosting. Pave chose to use Webflow so their non-technical team members could easily edit their website. I leveraged reuseable components, and client-first class names to meet these needs.

Coding for No-Code Solutions

Webflow is a flexible no-code solution compared to others on the market. This gave me freedom to write JS and implement logic without impacting the non-technical experience.

Style guide example

  • Styles & Class Names Webflow uses class names for every DOM element, just like CSS. This meant I can could re-usable styles on an Atomic level with class names. I started by building a style-guide page in Webflow that listed all the class names and their function.
  • Reusable Components Much like React Webflow has a component feature allowing you to create reusable sections with the flexibility to swap the content displayed. I created components for every section of the website, allowing the Pave team to easily build upon their website when needed.
  • Content Management System (CMS) For ease of use, repetitive content can be easily added via a CMS. For Pave I leveraged Webflow's CMS across their testimonial sections. This meant whenever a new testimonial was added it would automatically display.
