Overview

ReicoAI leverages AI to streamline the real estate investing process. Users can connect with real estate professionals, and get automatically matched with listings that fit their personalized criteria. When matched a property analysis is automatically generated and sent to the user, based on their investment preferences.

My Role

At ReicoAI I was the Lead Designer on a small team of developers, and designers. During my time at Reico I wore many hats. I designed all customer facing materials wether UI, marketing material, business plans, and slides. In addition I documented our UX flows, rebuilt the website, increased SEO, ran Google Ads, implemented QA processes among other tasks.

Chrome Extension

The Chrome extension allows users to seamlessly run, save, and share property analysis. Analysis are generated instantly upon selecting any Zillow, or RedFin listing.

Instant Analysis Instantly run detailed analyses of any listing on Zillow or Redfin.

Save Properties Save your analyses to the web application with a simple click.

Share Analyses Immediately share any property analysis via a simple link.

Design Challenges Designing across multiple product entry points comes with unique challenges. Beyond creating style guidelines to provide a consistent experience across the product suite, I had to consider how the onboarding experience should look regardless of how the user found Reico.

To ensure a frictionless experience users can download and use the Chrome extension without an existing account. Only when a user wishes to save analyses for later are they prompted to create an account. By integreating SSO options and sign-in tokens I ensured the sign-up process was as simple as possible. Users can simply sign-up with their favorite provider without the need to create a password.

Web App

The Reico web app is the all-in-one solution to real estate investing. Boasting a large array of features, from custom analyses and buyboxes to social connections, and listings.

Such a large feature suite required a thoughtful approach to UX, balancing internal features with external data sources, and creating a intuitive navigation layout are just some of the few challenges I was tasked with solving.

Visual Hierarchy Creating clear visual hierarchy in a data-heavy application is no simple feat. To address cognitive overload I made use of every tool at my disposal, from clear a use of colors, to elevation and interaction design. I approached each screen and state with the question What is the most important data being displayed? To guide my decisions.

Affordances To reduce cognitive overload in users I set out to make afforances as clear as possible. Through a consistent use of color across primary interactions, to clear hover and toggle effects. I wanted our product to feel friendly, and familiar. By following Jakob's Law I leveraged the existing best practices to make our application as intuitive as possible.

Interaction Design Interaction design is integral to every digital experience today. By using interactions to show the user what's happening instead of simply telling them we empower the user without overwhelming them with text. During my time I integrated Framer-motion to power beautiful interactions throughout the product.

Website, Blog & SEO

Reico needed a website that matched their new brand identity. In addition they needed to increase organic traffic through SEO. I designed and built it from the ground up with React, NextJS & Sanity.IO.

Website I created high fielity designs for each page of the website following web best practices, then coded them to life with React and Typescript.

SEO Lighthouse Lighthouse is Google's web.dev tool suite. By optimizing the 4 main scores you can increse your SEO. Google wants their users to have a good experience, they prioritize serving optimized accesible websites with low load times. In summary, a well-optimized website ranks higher in search results.

Blog Blog's are a tried and true method to improving any SEO. The more content you serve with keywords the higher you'll rank. Therefore creating content that appeals to your target audience helps increase your organic traffic and ultimately drive conversions.

Summary In summary I created Reico's website powered by NextJs, React, and Sanity.IO. I ensured Lighthouse results all scored 90-100, and bolstered their SEO with blog content. View the techstack and images below.
